There has been a lot of controversy over surface optoelectronics, and at the end of November, the Executive Yuan announced that priority should be given to promoting roofs, including the roofs of industrial parks. Through aerial images and GIS images, civil circles found that the proportion of photovoltaic erection in Taiwan's industrial zone, science park, and processing export zone was less than 20%. Cai Huixun, director of the Earth Citizen Foundation, said that at present, the roof of the industrial zone is only equipped with 803MW, but aerial photos can see that most of the roofs are bare, and a rough estimate of the photoelectric potential of the roof of the industrial zone has at least 5000MW.

The group called on the roof photovoltaics to be the renewable energy with the least impact on the environment, and the manufacturing industry ranks first in terms of electricity consumption and carbon emissions in the country. The Executive Yuan should raise the roof optoelectronic target for 2025, announce as soon as possible the large number of electricity users and increase the roof photoelectricity installation rate, and require the existing factory buildings to compare with each other.

The consumption of electricity and carbon emissions of the manufacturing industry ranks first in the country, and less than 20% of the roofs are installed with photovoltaics.

Shen Rongjin, vice president of the Executive Yuan, announced in late November that optoelectronics gave priority to the promotion of eight fields, including the roof of the industrial park. A month later, the private ring group found that the proportion of photovoltaics installed on the roof of the industrial zone was less than 20%, indicating that the Industrial Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs had seriously insufficient inventory of the existing industrial zones, science parks, and export processing zones.

Manufacturing accounts for 52% of carbon emissions and more than 56% of electricity consumption, which is the highest in the country. Cai Zhongyue, CEO of the Earth Citizens Foundation, said that as of yesterday, 127 countries had studied net zero carbon emissions, and this year, TSMC, a leading domestic company, also announced that future products would be made of all-green electricity. Green power has become the trend of economic development in the future from an option of environmental protection in the past. "since the manufacturing industry is a big user of electricity, it should use it on its own."

The Earth Citizen Foundation uses aerial images of industrial zones and Google satellite maps to show the current situation of photoelectric settings on the roofs of domestic industrial zones. We can see that no matter whether they are directly administered by the central or local government, and in science parks under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Science and Technology, more than 80% of the buildings are not equipped with photovoltaics.
