The original Zhuke Phase III section expropriation case, today (28) again into the Metropolitan Committee, Huantuan and Hsinchu residents to resist to the end! One after another, the Greater Hsinchu development projects have been launched. Recently, there is the "Zhuke Baoshan Phase II" TSMC plant expansion project. If the development projects such as "Zhubei Taizhi Park" and "Yuanzhuke Phase III" are added, the Greater Hsinchu area will face a water shortage crisis due to excessive industrial water consumption.

The environmental group pointed out that water shortage in the Greater Hsinchu area will become the norm in the earliest 3 to 5 years, and it is necessary to review whether existing large-scale development projects should be reduced or withdrawn, so as not to increase the water burden or even discharge sewage to affect water quality.

The self-help association for the third phase of bamboo science and the Taichi Industrial Park, which has been fighting for years, says that this year the irrigation of the second phase of peach and bamboo seedlings will be stopped, and next year it is afraid of fallow cultivation. If development continues, there will be no land to cultivate and no water to use in the future. It hopes that the government will withdraw the development plan and return the land to the residents.

The long-disputed case of expropriation of the third phase of the original bamboo branch will again pass through the Ministry of the Interior Committee this afternoon. The case involves an area of more than 300 hectares near the Zhudong Industrial Research Institute. However, in the Greater Hsinchu area, there is also the "Zhuke Baoshan Phase II" TSMC 2 Nano Process Plant Expansion Project recently, which will increase water consumption by 120,000 tons per day. The Environmental Group believes that it will cause a water supply and demand crisis in the Greater Hsinchu area.

According to the draft Zhuxian Land Plan proposed by the Hsinchu County Government in February this year,"Zhuke Baoshan Phase II" plus the controversial development projects such as "Zhubeitai Zhiyuan Park" and "Yuanzhuke Phase III," the daily water consumption for people's livelihood and industry in the Greater Hsinchu area will reach 881,900 tons in 2036. However, the daily water supply estimated by the Water Resources Department is only 620,000 tons, a difference of 261,900 tons between the two, creating a huge water shortage.
