This is part of the achievements of the 863 project "Research on Agricultural Internet of things and Food quality and Safety Control system". The project has formed a relatively complete technical and intellectual property system for the construction of the national agricultural Internet of things and food quality and safety control system.

"the construction of a national food information traceability Internet of things platform provides a feasible way to solve the problem of food safety." Zheng Lirong, a professor at Fudan University, is the chief expert of the project.

By studying the advanced technologies such as distributed data network and software definition, the researchers constructed a food safety Internet of things architecture and application service support platform with open service, unified standard and independent and controllable information content. An open standard API interface and modular application set are developed, and through embedded electronic resumes and full-dimensional deployment simulation, the openness of the public service platform, the security and credibility of business data, and the scalability of network deployment are ensured, and the deployment cost of the network is reduced. Developed a variety of mainstream heterogeneous coding analysis service and information traceability service system, realized the data interconnection of heterogeneous networks, and laid a technical foundation for the construction of a national unified food safety traceability Internet of things platform.

At present, the results of the project have been demonstrated and applied across platforms and regions in the Yellow River Delta, Yangling, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other regions, resulting in obvious ecological, economic and social benefits. In particular, the Internet of things technology integrates modern agricultural production with food safety, brand building and even financial investment in photovoltaic technology, realizing the whole chain value from field to table and from food to health. it provides a business model worth popularizing for the development of the comprehensive industry in the new countryside. It is reported that these cases are described in detail in the recent monograph "Internet of things and Food Safety" published by the Science Press.

As the chief expert, Zheng Lirong has more thoughts on how to manage the project scientifically.

"the management function of the project lead unit to the project undertaking unit needs to be strengthened." Zheng Lirong said: at present, the project lead units lack an effective restraint mechanism for the project participating units in the aspects of special fund allocation and financial account management, and there is no special project management funds.Therefore, it is proposed to add special topics for project management. the project lead unit is responsible, and each project responsible unit is involved in order to ensure the effective management of the project.

"strengthen communication with industry and the international community and allow fine-tuning of project objectives." Zheng Lirong said that in the course of the implementation of the project, because the industry itself and international technology are developing, we can combine the opinions of relevant enterprises and experts without reducing the overall objectives and task requirements of the project. it can be allowed to apply to the planning field office according to the needs of industrial development and the current situation of technological development at home and abroad, and make some appropriate adjustments to some system functions and indicators in the original plan. In order to better connect with the market, improve the solution of the industrial chain, pay close attention to the timely and effective transformation and promotion of technological achievements, and lay a better foundation for the large-scale market application and promotion of project scientific research achievements in the future.
