1. Symptoms: Root cancer disease is also called crown gall disease. Cherry and rose root cancer mainly occurs in the root neck, can also occur in the root and shoot. At the beginning of the disease, there are small round nodules, which gradually increase and harden, the surface is rough and cracked, the color changes from light brown or black brown, and the interior of the nodules is lignified. Tumor size varies, big like fist size or larger, the number of a few to a dozen vary. Because the root system is destroyed, it causes the diseased plant to grow slowly, and the whole plant dies in severe cases. Besides cherry blossom and rose, the disease can also harm more than 300 kinds of plants such as dahlia, clove, begonia, geranium, rose, plum blossom, trees and fruit trees.

2. Prevention and control methods

① Strengthen quarantine. The diseased seedlings can be soaked in 500~2000ppm streptomycin solution for 30 minutes or 1% copper sulfate solution for 5 minutes, washed with water and planted.

(2) Planting after rotation for more than 2 years or disinfection of soil with chlorobicrin in seriously ill areas.

Cultivate carefully to avoid all kinds of wounds.

4. The grafting tools can be disinfected with 0.5% potassium permanganate.

5. Severe diseased plants should be removed, light diseased plants can be irrigated with 300~400 times 402, or 500~2000ppm streptomycin or 500~1000ppm streptomycin or 5% ferrous sulfate after tumor removal. It was also reported that there was a therapeutic effect on tumors coated with methyl ice-iodine solution (methanol 50 parts, glacial acetic acid 25 parts, iodine tablets 12 parts), and Agrobacterium radians 84 could be used for biological control.
