And some like neutral or slightly alkaline flowers, such as chrysanthemum, carnation, rose, Tang Ying Pu, etc., in the case of higher soil acidity, easy to cause acid damage, resulting in root growth blocked, aboveground growth deteriorated. so... Different corrective measures should be taken according to different situations.

Acid-loving flowers planted in the north, must be improved on the soil, generally each kilogram of culture needs to add 0.5 - 1.0 grams of sulfur powder or 1.5 - 2.0 grams of ferrous sulfate, mixed stacked for 2 weeks on the pot. If the water containing calcium and magnesium is used to irrigate flowers, it must be treated with water. Can add 0.2% ferrous sulfate solution regular irrigation, irrigation should be ready to use, to prevent ferrous oxidation and failure. Acidic or physiologically acidic fertilizers should be selected for fertilizer application, such as potassium nitrate, ammonium nitrate, calcium superphosphate, etc. Alkaline fertilizers such as plant ash should not be applied. Although urea is a neutral fertilizer, it will be converted into bicarbonate after being applied to the soil, which will make the soil locally alkaline and should not be applied in large quantities. However, urea as a topdressing, as long as the concentration is appropriate, the effect is satisfactory.

Like neutral or slightly alkaline flowers, due to the growth process, the root system constantly exudes acidic substances, or due to long-term application of acidic or physiological acid fertilizer, will make the soil acid, but also affect the normal growth of flowers, lime, limestone powder, plant ash and other alkaline fertilizer, reduce soil acidity, to meet the requirements of flowers on soil acidity, especially carnation and other flowers, after appropriate application of limestone powder, there is also the effect of making the color bright.
