How to deal with flowers and trees before sowing.

The seeds of flowers and trees should be treated as follows before sowing.

1. Water immersion germination: can be divided into three kinds of water temperature treatment, cold water soaking seeds (above 0 degrees Celsius), warm water soaking seeds (40-60 degrees Celsius), hot water soaking seeds (70-90 degrees Celsius).

two。 Stratified sprouting: refrigerate with three parts of wet sand and one part of the seeds of plants, flowers and trees. In addition, the seeds of long-term dormant plants, flowers and trees or seeds sprouting every other year can be accelerated by variable temperature, that is, after soaking seeds, the temperature is kept at 25-30 degrees Celsius during the day and 15 degrees Celsius at night, repeated for 10-20 days, it can promote its germination.

1. The conventional methods are as follows: most of the seeds are stored for a long time from harvest to sowing, and the seeds are dormant all the time. If it is exposed to sunlight for 2 days before sowing, it can not only kill some germs and eggs on the surface of the seed, but also activate the seed, which is helpful to improve the germination rate.

two。 Seed soaking method: the seeds can be soaked in cold water or warm water of 40 degrees before sowing. The soaking time varies from 2 to 24 hours, depending on the type of flowers.

3. Seed coat engraving method: for some seeds whose seed coat is hard, airtight and impervious to water, the seed coat carving method can be used to make water enter the seed and promote it to absorb water and germinate.

4. Chemical treatment: use strong acid or alkali, of which concentrated sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide are the most commonly used, which can soften the hard seed coat after treatment. The time of treatment depends on the hardness of the seed coat. From a few minutes to a few hours.

5. Cold storage or low temperature stratification method: seeds can be refrigerated at 2-5 degrees for 2-3 weeks, or treated with wet sand stratification method in autumn, seed dormancy can be broken early and germination can be promoted.
