Jiangxi seed Association holds 2015 annual working meeting

On December 29, 2015, Jiangxi seed Association held its 2015 annual working meeting. The main persons in charge of the provincial seed association, the relevant responsible persons, the heads of some business departments of the provincial seed administration and 24 member units of the provincial seed association attended this meeting.

At the meeting, the main person in charge of the provincial seed association summed up the work of the association in 2015: first, four Jiangxi seed industry youth forums were held, and well-known experts from inside and outside the province were invited to give special lectures and exchanges; second, three units, including Xiannong, Hyundai and Keyuan, were organized to participate in the national seed "double Fair" and organized exchanges and cooperation with scientific research institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Chinese Rice Institute. Third, the association led the variety direct seeding experiment to screen the main varieties of direct seeding in our province; fourth, the association actively dealt with the emergency of rice blast, and the effect was very good. Subsequently, it made arrangements for the work in 2016, and warned seed enterprises to strictly abide by the newly revised "seed Law", adhere to the bottom line of seed quality, strictly prohibit variety infringement and counterfeiting, and strengthen the awareness of variety risk warning.

At the meeting, the Chief of the Market Management Section of the Provincial seed Administration made a key interpretation of the new "seed Law" and relevant supporting management methods; three responsible persons of major seed enterprises in our province respectively made statements on maintaining seed prices in a reasonable range, standardizing production, and honest management.
